Dubois County Announces Upgrade to Voting Equipment

Dubois County election officials are pleased to announce an upgrade to the county’s voting equipment ahead of the upcoming election cycle. The existing MicroVote voting system has been updated to the Infinity Rev. 1 machine, bringing enhanced functionality while maintaining a familiar voting experience for residents.

Voters will notice that the overall voting booth setup remains the same. The primary change is the installation of a newly upgraded voting panel within each booth. The system continues to use the trusted push-button style interface that voters are accustomed to.

One key improvement is that once a voter makes a selection, the chosen candidate or option will now be clearly highlighted on the panel. This enhancement is designed to provide additional confidence and clarity during the voting process.

Voters may choose to make a selection in at least one race in order to cast their ballot, or they may vote in every race presented on the ballot.

As a reminder, all voters are encouraged to carefully review their selections using the VVPAT (Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trail) system before finalizing their ballot. After confirming their choices, voters should press the red button to officially cast their vote.

Dubois County election officials emphasize that these updates are intended to improve usability and transparency while preserving the straightforward and reliable voting process voters expect.
