Dubois and Most Surrounding Counties Continue to Add New COVID-19 Cases

AREA WIDE -- 15 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Dubois County over the weekend.

That brings the total to 839 positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents since the pandemic began. Of those cases, 708 have recovered, 17 others have died.

When you do the math, it comes out to 114 active cases in the county.

Eight new cases were reported Saturday, six on Sunday and one new case was announced on Monday.

Dubois County’s seven-day positivity rate stands at 14.3%.  The state average is 6.9%.

Other counties in our area continue to see new coronavirus cases pop up.

Daviess County is reporting 13 new cases.  495 people have tested positive there since the pandemic began.  23 have died.

There are 11 new cases in Martin County bringing the total there to 117.  No deaths have been reported since the start of the crisis.

Three new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Orange County.  24 have died and 240 have tested positive so far there.

And in Pike County, 2 new cases have pushed the county’s total to 101.  Only one fatality there.

No new cases in Perry or Spencer Counties.  No one has died from the virus in Spencer County.  13 have died in Perry County.
