Dove Recovery House Celebrates Women in Recovery at Galentine’s Day Event with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield
WHAT: Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield will present a $50,000 grant to Dove Recovery House in Dubois County in support of residential and aftercare services for women recovering from substance use disorder (SUD). The check presentation will take place during a Galentine’s Day celebration on February 13th honoring current and former Dove Recovery House residents.
The event will include a community-supported pampering experience for Dove House residents, with donated services such as haircuts, manicures, and massages, as well as health screenings and testing provided by the local health department.

WHY: Dove Recovery House provides trauma-informed, evidence-based residential and aftercare services for women recovering from substance use disorder, addressing both clinical needs and key social drivers of health. Services include therapy, peer recovery support, life skills development, and connections to housing, employment, transportation, childcare, and healthcare resources.
Anthem’s $50,000 grant supports Dove Recovery House’s mission to expand access to critical recovery services in Jasper and improve long-term health outcomes for women on their path to self-sufficiency. The Galentine’s Day celebration reflects a shared commitment to whole-person health, community connection, and dignity in recovery.
