HUNTINGBURG -- The Huntingburg Police Department is warning residents of a texting scam targeting local residents.

The text message requests confirmation of a prescription through an online link.

Some of the information received in the text message was correct making it appear legitimate.

The Huntingburg Police Department would like to advise the public to not click on the links in these types of messages and always double check with your provider.
