Did You Lose Your Documents in Recent Storms?
Severe weather has taken a heavy toll across Indiana in recent weeks. As Hoosiers rebuild and recover from the effects of flooding, tornadoes, and the derecho across Indiana, the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) would like to provide guidance on how to replace any documents or credentials managed by the agency. Request New Documents Online at myBMV.com If impacted Hoosiers have internet access and a myBMV account, they can request a duplicate copy of the following items:
Replacing Documents at a BMV Connect Kiosk Hoosiers can request replacements for all the documents listed above at any BMV Connect kiosk. Again, a customer’s mailing address will need to be updated if necessary. Copies of vehicle registrations will be printed on the spot if processed on the kiosk, but all other documents will need to be mailed. Replacing Documents at a BMV Branch If you lost your driver’s license or ID card, applicants would only need to visit a BMV branch to replace the credential if it is expired or it needs to be amended. Full details for replacing a driver’s license or ID card can be found here. If requesting a duplicate title at a branch, an unexpired photo ID may be required. |
