Deaconess Memorial Medical Center Invites High School Students to “Dive Into Nursing” Career Exploration Event

Deaconess Memorial Medical Center is inviting area high school students to discover the rewarding world of nursing at its 2026 “Dive Into Nursing” pre-nursing event. Designed for freshmen through seniors, this interactive event will provide students with firsthand exposure to nursing careers, educational pathways, and opportunities available in the healthcare field.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center, 800 W. 9th Street, Jasper. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

Explore what nurses do every day
Experience hands-on nursing activities
Connect with experienced nurses and receive real-world advice about pursuing a career in health care
Learn about nursing education programs, career pathways, and scholarship opportunities
