Courthouse Square Infrastructure and Revitalization Update: February 16th

Jasper- A few updates on the Courthouse Square Infrastructure & Revitalization Project from the meeting with the construction team this morning.

• Construction crews continue to grade and prepare subgrade for the curb and concrete work in the NW quadrant.
• Storm sewer installation continues.
• Prep for sidewalks, planters, and the fit pit is underway.
• Also some work is being completed in the NE quadrant: installation of swings and signage being next.
• Parking is now open in the NE quadrant.
• The schedule will continue to be contingent on weather and supply factors.
• The parking lot adjacent to City Hall remains available for 2-hour public parking.
• Foot traffic and accessibility to building entrances will be maintained at all times.
• The next meeting with contractor representatives is Wednesday, March 1st.
