COMMUNITY FOUNDATION CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF IMPACT
Dubois County Community Foundation celebrates
its 30th anniversary this year, marking three decades of strengthening our county
through impactful philanthropy.
Founded in 1996 by local community members, the Community Foundation was
established with a shared vision of building a stronger community through collective
charitable giving.
Over the past 30 years, the Community Foundation has grown into a trusted charitable
partner, stewarding more than $100 million in total assets and awarding over $49 million
in grants in Dubois County.
“This milestone reflects the trust our donors place in us and the generosity of our
community,” said Clayton Boyles, Executive Director. “Together, we have built a strong
foundation that will continue to serve our community for generations to come.”
From scholarships and nonprofit support to community initiatives and strategic
grantmaking, the Community Foundation’s work has touched lives across Dubois
County and strengthened the fabric of the community.
Throughout its history, the Community Foundation has leveraged philanthropy and
community leadership to advance impactful projects, including The Parklands, Market
Street Park, the Dubois Park Community Center, Child Advocacy Center (SWICACC),
Ferdinand Old Town Lake, Dove Recovery House for Women, Dolly Parton’s
Imagination Library, Tri-County YMCA expansion and the revitalization of the Astra
Theatre.
“As the Community Foundation looks ahead, we are committed to deepening
community impact by working with donors, nonprofit partners and community leaders to
thoughtfully respond to our community’s evolving needs,” Boyles said.
Today, the Community Foundation manages over 500 charitable funds supporting a
broad range of causes including the arts, youth and education, faith and historic
preservation.
The Community Foundation is a place where anyone can give—at any level—and make
a meaningful difference in their community. To learn more about the Community
