City of Jasper to Open Municipal Pool, Expect Big Changes

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

JASPER -- The City of Jasper has announced the municipal swimming pool will be open this summer, however, expect to see some big changes.

Opening day at the pool will be May 24th but no swim lessons will be offered this year.  City officials say they will operate at 50% capacity until July 4th.

Loungers and chairs will be set 6 feet apart, most staff will be wearing facemasks, and they will all be checked for fever before they begin their shift.

Patrons are being encouraged to wear face coverings while you’re not swimming.  Never wear a face covering in the pool itself.

Plexi glass screens have also been added at the ticket booth and concession stand.
