City of Huntingburg to Celebrate New Fitness Court with Ribbon Cutting and Battle of the Businesses Competition.

The City of Huntingburg in partnership with the National Fitness Campaign invites the community to celebrate the completion of the new Outdoor Fitness Court at Charles C. Niehaus Memorial Park on Thursday, November 5, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a friendly Battle of the Businesses competition.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will officially celebrate the addition of the Fitness Court, a new outdoor fitness facility designed to encourage physical activity and provide community members with another opportunity to prioritize their health and wellness. Following the ceremony, local businesses will go head-to-head in the Battle of the Businesses competition, putting their strength, endurance, and teamwork to the test while showcasing the new facility. Community members are encouraged to attend, cheer on participating teams, and help celebrate this exciting addition to Huntingburg.

The Fitness Court project was made possible through a partnership with the National Fitness Campaign, which helped the City of Huntingburg bring this outdoor fitness concept to the community. The City is grateful to the National Fitness Campaign for its guidance and support in launching this project. The City is also grateful to the many individuals, businesses, and organizations that contributed financially and helped bring this project to life. Their generosity and commitment to Huntingburg will provide lasting benefits for the community and create more opportunities for residents to prioritize their health and wellness.

“We are excited to have the City of Huntingburg join us in the journey to improve health and wellness as we work to make a powerful and long-lasting impact on health outcomes and happiness by building healthy communities across America,’’ said Mitch Menaged, founder of National Fitness Campaign. “The addition of the outdoor Fitness Court®, along with digital wellness programming, demonstrates a tremendous commitment to the health and wellbeing within the community.”

The City of Huntingburg looks forward to celebrating this milestone with the community on November 5 and invites everyone to come see the new Fitness Court, support local businesses participating in the competition, and join in recognizing the community partnerships that made this project possible.
