Ascension St. Vincent Evansville hosting open house to launch Clinical Pastoral Education program expansion

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville will host an open house from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30, to showcase its accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) offerings and celebrate expanding access to local training opportunities for spiritual caregivers in southwestern Indiana.

Accredited through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), the program enables seminarians, ordained clergy, healthcare professionals, and lay spiritual leaders from diverse faith traditions to gain hands-on clinical spiritual care experience. The upcoming spring program features a hybrid model where students complete their required clinical practice hours locally at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville while participating in didactic group education online within a secure virtual learning environment.

The event is open to the public. Media representatives, prospective students, and community members are invited to attend, meet faculty, and learn about future plans to expand access to spiritual care education across the Evansville community.
