Another Death Confirmed at Area Nursing Home, Correctional Facility Sees New Cases as Well

TELL CITY -- Officials in Perry County have confirmed another COVID-19 death at a long-term care facility.

It’s now the fifth death associated with COVID-19 in that county.

Health officials also confirmed Thursday two new cases of the virus at the Branchville Correctional Facility.

Another employee at Oakwood Health Care also tested positive.  A second employee at the long-term care facility has also tested positive but lives in another county.

There have been a total of 119 positive cases so far in Perry County.  38 remain on strict isolation; 76 have recovered.
