Annual Redevelopment Report Presented for Review by Huntingburg RDC

At Tuesday night’s meeting of the Huntingburg RDC, the board turned its attention to financial approvals and long-term redevelopment planning.

After accepting the minutes of the previous meeting, the board addressed claims for authorization. Docket claims were approved as presented for $28,581.72. The majority of the docket expenses were from reimbursements back into the general fund as well as payments to Steinkamp’s and IMI. Non-docket claims totaling $23,316.93 were also approved for reimbursements back into the general fund.

The Redevelopment Report was presented to the board for review by the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office. This report is provided to the mayor, the Common Council, and the Redevelopment Commission, reflecting activity for the 2025 calendar year. Created on an annual basis, it details the RDC’s activities, expenditures, and land-use plans within designated areas. Tax increment revenue, project budgets, and TIF district activities will be reviewed by the various municipal governing bodies and will be used to inform decisions for the current year.

Reviewing project status metrics assists with goal tracking, measuring progress on long-term development plans and providing financial transparency. It acts as a roadmap for economic growth, land use, and site improvements, while also fulfilling regulatory compliance requirements for the RDC. Board members will have the opportunity to review the details in the report over the next few weeks. Any questions will be addressed at the next scheduled meeting at 5:15 on June 2, 2026 at Huntingburg City Hall.
