Annual Gas Leak Survey

The Jasper Municipal Gas Department will be conducting their annual gas leak survey beginning on Monday, October 12th and lasting through approximately November 6th. Personnel will be checking meters on the outside of homes and businesses and will have their city employee identification with them.

This year’s residential survey will primarily be focused in the north part of the city, which starts at Schuetter Road, north to Portersville Road and 47th Street. However, high pressure distribution lines in commercial areas all over the city will also be surveyed. Testing will take 3-4 weeks to complete.

The survey is mandated by both State and Federal laws and includes the testing of high-pressure feeder mains.If you have any questions regarding the survey, please contact Jasper Municipal Gas Department at 812-482-5252.
