ALERT: Be Aware of Severe Weather Threat Wednesday, Slight Risk Issued by Storm Prediction Center

By: David Shepherd / Forecaster

AREA WIDE -- The Storm Prediction Center of the  National Weather Service has placed the entire listening area under a SLIGHT RISK for severe weather Wednesday.

We’ll see scattered thunderstorms throughout the day.  Some of those could be strong.  But the better chance for us to see severe storms will be this afternoon into this evening.

Dangerous lightning, heavy rain and damaging winds are the biggest threats, however, we do have a low tornado risk. That being said, a tornado or two can not be ruled out so you will want to be on alert, especially Wednesday afternoon.

Stay with us through the day.  We will keep you updated on-air and over on our Facebook page.
