2026 PLANT ID WALKS IN DUBOIS & ORANGE COUNTIES

Natural areas in southern Indiana feature many beneficial native plants, but also destructive invasive plants such as Garlic Mustard, Autumn Olive, Japanese Stiltgrass, and Burning Bush. These plants can look different throughout the season which is why two local groups are teaming up this year to provide four free plant ID walks in Dubois and Orange Counties. Join the Invasive Species Awareness Coalition (ISAC) of Dubois County, and the Orange County Invasives Partnership to brush up on your plant ID skills in Spring, Summer, or Fall.

These events are suitable for all abilities, moving at a slow pace along paved or gravel trails. Each walk will take approximately 1 hour, rain or shine (except in the case of severe weather).
