2019 Strassenfest Logo and Button Design Released

This logo design will also be incorporated into the design of the official Strassenfest mug and program book cover. 

Another decision made by the committee Wednesday night involves the Sunday night Strassenfest fireworks. Due to the continually rising cost of pyrotechnic displays, the decision was made to only fund and provide fireworks during the five-year milestone years, which means that the next Strassenfest fireworks will be occur in 2023, the 45th year of Strassenfest. 

A portion of the funds typically targeted for fireworks will now be banked for future displays and a portion will be used to provide more quality entertainment on the downtown stages. 

As reported previously, the theme chosen by the committee for the 2019 Strassenfest is: “Jasper” “2018 Indiana Chamber Community of the Year.” 

 This theme was chosen to accentuate the fact that in November of 2018, the city of Jasper was recognized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, as the Indiana Community of the Year. 

The person who nominated Jasper for this prestigious award, Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board Member and owner of Jasper based Matrix Integration, Brenda Stallings, was chosen as “Hofmarschall” or “Grand Marshall” for the 2019 Strassenfest. 

As Strassenfest Hofmarschall, Brenda will speak at opening ceremonies on Thursday August 1st as well lead the Strassenfest parade on Sunday August 4th . 

Sponsorship request letters will be mailed before the end of January. Past are encouraged to watch their mail for these letters and respond as quickly as possible. All cash and in-kind sponsors are listed in the events and activities program booklet each year.
