‘Good Vibrations’ & great creations: a Sunday celebration of the Beach Boys, local craft makers, and free wine tastings

Sunday, October 4, brings a wave of California sound and community fun as the Lincoln Amphitheatre hosts its season‑ending concert event at 4 p.m. (CT)—Sounds of Summer, a full‑band celebration of the legendary music and enduring spirit of the Beach Boys.

Presented with support from the Friends of Lincoln State Park, this special Amp Unplugged Sunday matinee event will showcase energetic, faithful renditions inspired by the Beach Boys’ incredible catalog—decades of chart‑topping hits, unmistakable harmonies, and a sound that helped define an entire era of American music. From their early surf‑rock roots to their lush, innovative studio masterpieces, the Beach Boys’ contributions continue to influence artists and delight audiences worldwide.

“Few bands have captured the feeling of endless summer quite like the Beach Boys,” said Marc Steczyk, director of the Lincoln Amphitheatre. “Sounds of Summer will be bringing that warm, familiar, and joyful spirit on Sunday in a way that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly alive. There’s probably no better way for us to close out what has been an incredible season.”

But the celebration goes far beyond the harmonies. Guests can explore Lincoln State Park’s Young Abe’s Country Craft Fair, featuring artisan vendors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CT), and enjoy Sips then Songs, a free wine tasting event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (CT) highlighting the regional wines of Monkey Hollow and Bottom of the Barrel. Whether you come for surf‑rock sunshine or handcrafted treasures, this Sunday blends music, makers, and memory‑making.
