Southridge Athletics celebrates first annual Raider Day of Caring

Huntingburg - On Wednesday, Southridge High School held its first annual Raider Day of Caring.

Over 100 athletes, and their coaches, spread good deeds throughout the Southwest Dubois County area according to a press release from Southridge Athletics:

We had 118 Southridge High School Athletes across all sports and 14 coaches (many who took off work to be a part of this event today) who worked both in our Southridge Community and on our SWDCS Campus on various tasks throughout the morning and early afternoon.

We are very appreciative of Emily Killian and Kayla Vonderheide who helped us organize the off-campus work (and incredibly engaged throughout this entire process in helping us...THANK YOU AGAIN) along with Corey Steckler, Breck Sternberg and their entire maintenance team who lead the rest of our athletes in various tasks throughout the corporation.

We took some time before we began this morning to appreciate the support, facilities and opportunities that our school and community provide to us and just how fortunate we are to be Raiders!

The event will continue next summer.
