Jasper's Wigand named SIAC Tennis P.O.Y., Cats place 5 on All-Conference Teams

Local Sources - A successful Jasper Girls' Tennis season culminated in a list of recognitions from the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference.


As a team, the Wildcats' season came to an end in Indianapolis, ousted by eventual State Champion South Bend St. Joseph. Though, the doubles team of Paige Giesler (Sr.) and Reese Mundy (Jr.) claimed championship medals in the doubles tournament.

Both Giesler and Mundy were named the All-SIAC First Team, joined by teammates Marian Hayes (Jr.) and Harper Wigand (Jr.). Wigand would go on to be named the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

Kiersten Sternberg represented Jasper on the Second Team.

Castle matched Jasper's league-high mark of five selections.

Evansville Central's Cory Sills was named the 2024 Coach of the Year.
