Jasper Reds Accept Bid to NABF College Division World Series
Jasper - The Jasper Reds have announced that the National Amateur Baseball Federation has assigned them to the college division (ages 22 & under) World Series to be played in Sandusky, Ohio.
12 teams are expected to vie for the championship. The NABF World Series will be played July 28-31.
The Reds had 2 other postseason opportunities- both national tourneys. The Reds were invited to the 2nd annual Summer Showdown in Goddard, KS.
The Reds also received consideration for an at-large bid to the 88th annual National Baseball Congress World Series to be held in Wichita, KS.
Travel time, hotel costs & gas prices were ultimately deciding factors in declining both additional options.
