Jasper Hall of Fame Banquet Tickets Now on Sale
Local Sources - Tickets are being sold for the second annual induction banquet of the Jasper
High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
The banquet will be held Saturday,
September 23, at the Calumet Lake Event Plaza. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
for a reception/cocktail hour, dinner at 6:30 p.m., and the ceremony at 7:30
p.m. The meal will be catered by chef Tim Flick and his Carodella’s Custom
Catering business. Cost is $25 per person.
Ticket reservations can be purchased by contacting the JHS Athletic
Department at 812-482-4450, or by visiting the department at the high
school, door #5, between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. The
deadline to reserve tickets is September 1.
Inductees planning to attend the banquet are Michael Lewis, Matt Mauck,
Mike Ballenger, Tony Ahrens, Alan D. Dick, Brenda (Weidenbenner)
Krempp, Dana (Schitter) Schnarr, and Erin (Giesler) Palmer. Family
members will represent deceased inductees Ed Schultheis, Urban Pfeffer, and
Tom Tucker. This year’s class of 11 will join last year’s inaugural class of 23
inductees in the hall.
The JHS Athletic Hall of Fame honors individuals who
made significant contributions to the school’s athletic success.
Also being recognized this year at the banquet are a Golden Anniversary
Team, the 1973 boys’ basketball regional champions, and a Silver
Anniversary Team, the 1998 girls’ volleyball regional champions.
