Stella L. (Horne) Denbo, age 78, of Jasper

Stella L. (Horne) Denbo, age 78, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 after a brief illness.

Stella was born in Sharonville, Ohio to James M. Horne II and Wilma Sullivan Horne Elliott (both deceased) on March 29, 1943. She grew up in French Lick, IN with her sister, brother, and step-brother. She was a 1961 graduate of Springs Valley High School and a 1967 graduate of Oakland City College with a degree in education. Stella was a physical education and science teacher as well as a guidance counselor over the course of her 31 year career as an educator. She retired from Springs Valley Community Schools in 1997.

Stella married Don Denbo in 1979, and he survives. Other survivors include her son Forrest (Kip) Jones, his wife Donna Jones, and grandchildren Nash Jones (Kathryn), Rayce Jones, Anna Jones, and Noah Werner. Also surviving is stepdaughter Erica Trafoya and grandson Jaxon Trafoya, sister Roberteen Harris, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Cecil Elliott, brother James M. Horne III, and stepbrother William M. Elliott.
