Roger William Quante, 83, of Ferdinand
Roger William Quante, 83, of Ferdinand passed away peacefully Monday September 7, 2020 at his home in Ferdinand.
Roger was born February 22, 1937 in Ferdinand to Clarence and Mary (Miller) Quante. He was united in marriage to Janet Merkley on April 25, 1969 at Holy Family Church in Jasper. Janet preceded him in death on May 28, 2005.
Roger retired after 40 years as a machinist at D.I.A. Roger was a collector of fine things. He enjoyed playing euchre, poker and sheephead. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving are three sons, Keith Quante and companion Marissa Naegele-Hubert of Ferdinand, Curtis (Jenny) Quante of Boonville, Dean Quante and companion Lana Tobin of Ferdinand. Two grandchildren, Julia Roberts and Jessica Byers. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Nicholas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday September 15th at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand with burial to follow in St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
