Rod Buschkoetter, 60, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri

Rod Buschkoetter, 60, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri died Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

He was born July 20, 1960, in Jasper, Indiana to Anthony and Mary Lou (Sermersheim) Buschkoetter; and married Diane Welp on April 25, 1987, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rod was a graduate of Purdue University and was fortunate enough to work in the aviation industry, which he loved.  He was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft, Sabreliner Aircraft, Triumph Aerospace/Fabritech and M International.  In addition to his love for aviation, he enjoyed traveling and studying theology.  He was known to be quick-witted with a great sense of humor along with a strong character and a deep devotion to his family.

He was involved with The Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Helicopter Association International (HAI), and the Air Force Association (AFA).

Rod is survived by his wife, Diane Buschkoetter of Lake St. Louis, MO; three children, Kyle, Craig and Andrea Buschkoetter all of St. Louis, MO; and one brother, Ryan Buschkoetter of Huntingburg, IN.

Friends are invited to attend funeral services for Rod Buschkoetter to be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Monday, September 14, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Biju Thomas.

Visitation will be held privately for family and extended family at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  Memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Church, or to a favorite charity.
