Richard “Ric” Stoll, of Indianapolis

Richard “Ric” Stoll, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at his home. 

He was born May 30, 1955, in Loogootee, Indiana to the late Enos and Dorothy (Stoll) Stoll. Ric married Ruth Ann Lengacher on June 17, 1979, and she survives. 

Ric started and owned Stoll Steel Erectors. He then served in missions with Impact North in Thunder Bay, Ontario and Teen Challenge in Landmark, Manitoba. 

When he returned to the United States, he worked for several companies in steel construction and retired from Custom Agri Builders as a project manager. Ric and his wife, Ruth Ann, attended Thrive Church in Camby, Indiana. They also served together in several mission organizations, including MDS (Mennonite Disaster Service), Impact North and worked in Rwanda. He enjoyed being outdoors where he could garden, landscape, hike, fish, hunt, trap and birdwatch. He loved traveling with his wife and teaching his grandchildren about the outdoors. Ric also liked to collect knives, restoring artwork and frames, raising pigeons, camping, and taxidermy. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enos and Dorothy Stoll; brothers, Clyde Stoll, Ernest Stoll and a stillborn brother; nephew, Tristan Stoll; great-niece, Alliyia Marie Curtis.

 Ric is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Stoll; daughters, Heather (Grant) Kuhns, Bridgett (Dan) Esworthy, Holly Stoll; grandchildren, Annabel (11), Benson (8), Nolan (5), Adison (9), Judah (5) and Asher (3); siblings, Owen (Marie) Stoll, Darrel Stoll, Dwight Stoll, Diane (Gary) Wagler, Rose (Omar) Miller, Linda (Darrel) Wagler, Sharon Stoll, Ruth Stoll, Sandy (Jason) Bainbridge, and Leonard (Lana) Stoll; sister-in-law, Mary Stoll. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg.
