Patsy L. Underwood, age 87, of Huntingburg
Patsy L. Underwood, age 87, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born August 9, 1933, in Shoals, Indiana, to Merlin and Elsie (Cooper) Wininger; and married Donald R. Underwood on October 1, 1955, at Central Christian Church in Huntingburg. Patsy was a member of Central Christian Church; enjoyed working in her flower beds; and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Underwood, who died on February 14, 2008; her mother and father; two sisters, Joy Trambaugh and Ruth Braun; two brothers, Woodrow Wininger and Merlin Wininger, Jr.; and one grandchild.
She is survived by three children, Gwen (Randy) Schneider of Kyana, Ind., Carl (Beth) Underwood of Ireland, Ind. and Gary Underwood of Huntingburg, Ind.; two sisters, Rose Bauernfiend of Shoals, Ind. and Eldean (Gene) Sherfick of Shoals, Ind.; by (4) grandchildren and (5) great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Patsy L. Underwood will be held at 1:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery. Minister Zack Korff will officiate at the service.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on Sunday, the day of the service.
