Manfred R. Groemminger, age 81 of St. Anthony

Manfred R. Groemminger, age 81 of St. Anthony, Indiana, passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Brookside Village in Jasper, Indiana.
 
Manfred was born on February 14, 1938 to Hugo and Luise (Muhlherr) Groemminger.  He married Rose M. Stemle on February 11, 1964 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville, IN.  She preceded him in death on February 9, 2015.
 
He retired as mechanic from Jasper Engines after 33 years of service. 
 
Manfred was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the St. Anthony Community Center, and the St. Anthony Conservation Club.  
 
He enjoyed his german music, working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
 
Surviving is one daughter, Becky Ann Schepers (Victor) Holland, IN, one Son, Brian Keith Groemminger (Jenny), Batesville, IN, two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Braydon Groemminger, one sister, Irma Mayer, Germany, and one brother, Werner Groemminger (Rosemarie), Germany, nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding him in death beside his wife was one brother in law, Johann Mayer, and one niece Edith Engst.
 
Funeral services for Manfred R. Groemminger will be held at 10:00 a.m.  on Monday, January 27, 2020 in St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.
 
A visitation will be held from noon to 4pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, and from 9am until the 10am service time at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Monday.
