Lucille J. Schilling, age 93, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at the home of her daughter.
Lucille was born in Siberia, Indiana, on July 1, 1927, to Louis and Angela (Boeglin) Hulsman. She married Alfred Schilling on November 26, 1946, in Siberia, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1986.
Lucille was a 1944 graduate of the Academy of the Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana.
She was a homemaker and retired from Siebert's in Jasper, where she had worked in retail sales for over 20 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, the St. Ann's Society, the D of I, and the Original Home Demonstration Club.
She was an avid quilter and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are three daughters, Dana (Alan) Hoffman, Myra (Wayne) Schuetter, both of Jasper, IN, and Alane (Ed) Ploetner, Schnellville, IN, three grandchildren, Lori (Todd) Mehringer, Jill (Jason) Kelly, and Mark (Nicki) Hoffman, 11 great grandchildren, Kyle, Nathan, and Brandon Mehringer, Ella, Jack, Samuel, Ryan and Kate Kelly, and Audrey, Abe, and Charlotte Hoffman.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are two brothers, Linus and Richard Hulsman.
A Mass of Christian burial for Lucille J. Schilling will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
