Lucille A. Rudolph, age 101, of Boone Township

Lucille A. Rudolph, age 101, of Boone Township, Indiana passed away at 7:32 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Jasper, Indiana.

Lucille was born in Daviess County, Indiana on August 22, 1919 to Thomas and Effie (Frank) Baker. She married Gwen P. Rudolph on September 16, 1937, he preceded her in death on March 19, 2013 after 75 years of marriage.Lucille was a homemaker and lifelong farmer with her husband, Gwen. They farmed in Dubois and Daviess counties.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township, Indiana.She was a resident of Northwood Good Samaritan, Jasper, Indiana and most recently Legacy Living in Jasper. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards and games and spending time with family. She was a member of the Singing Seniors. She loved to travel and visited many places in the United States and several countries around the world with her husband. Together they enjoyed over 35 years of square dancing and spent more than 30 years wintering in Florida.

Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Held, Lafayette, IN, two sons, James (Helen) Rudolph, Jasper, IN and Edward (Sheila) Rudolph, Wilmington, NC, five grandchildren, Jon Held, Gretchen Johnson, Ginger Hedinger, Sara Patterson and Adam Rudolph, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Preceding her in death besides her husband was her son, John Rudolph, son-in-law, David Held, two granddaughters, Kathryn Held and Marcia Rudolph, four sisters, Aneda Hoffman, Lavella Baker, Eldena Petry and Mable Egg, and two brothers, Milfred and Lowell Baker.

A funeral service for Lucille A. Rudolph will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Boone Township, Indiana. Pastor Gerald Frye will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel, Jasper, Indiana and from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Cemetery Fund.
