Kenneth H Gilmore, age 90, of Birdseye

Kenneth H Gilmore, age 90, of Birdseye, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born November 18, 1929, in Eckerty, Indiana, to Earl and Louetta (Cook) Gilmore; and married Lola Frances Huff on June 24, 1950, in Mentor.  Kenneth worked as an appliance technician.  He was a member of Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #574 F&AM in Birdseye, the Birdseye Order of the Eastern Star #590, and was a Deacon at Anderson Valley Christian Church.  He enjoyed cats and bird watching.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Kenneta Merder and John Gilmore; one brother, Earl Gilmore, Jr.; and one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Frances Gilmore of Birdseye; three children, Daniel (Margaret) Gilmore of Evansville, Rhonda (Greg) Hochgesang of Jasper, and James Gilmore of Sumter, South Carolina; one brother, Lowell Gilmore of Florida; son-in-law, Greg Merder of Jasper; by (9) grandchildren and (14) great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kenneth Gilmore will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Cox Cemetery.  Ministers Chuck Crews and Ron Hickman will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 1st.  An Eastern Star vigil service, immediately followed by a Masonic vigil service, will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
