Irene Mullis, 85, of Ferdinand
Irene Mullis, 85, of Ferdinand passed away on Wednesday, August 3rd at Scenic Hills at the Monastery.
She was born February 8, 1937 in Ferdinand to Edward and Lauretta (Welp) Bolte. Irene married William
Mullis on November 23, 1955. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Irene is survived by three sons, Greg
(Ronda) Mullis of Tomball, TX., Jeff Mullis of Evansville and Brian Mullis of Ferdinand; one daughter,
Vicki Gehlhausen of Santa Claus; a sister, Evelyn Schwoeppe of Ferdinand; five grandchildren, nine great-
grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, William; a
daughter, Jennifer Graves and a great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 10th in St.
Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church
Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services.
The family would like to express a special thank you to
the staff at Scenic Hills at the Monastery for the wonderful care Irene received. In lieu of flowers the
family request donations be made to: St. Ferdinand Catholic Church or the Dubois County Humane
Society.
