Helen Elizabeth Rademacher, age 102, of Holland

 Helen Elizabeth Rademacher, age 102, of Holland, passed away at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Willowdale Village Nursing Home in Dale.

She was born March 24, 1916, near Bretzville, Indiana to Anthony and Gertrude (Bretz) Schwartz; and married Andrew Rademacher on September 7, 1940, at St. John’s Evangelical & Reformed Church in Bretzville.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland where she was a long-time Youth Choir Mother and a member of the Women of the Church.  Helen also enjoyed working outdoors with her flowers and mowing grass.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

 Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew Rademacher, who passed away on January 4, 1983; one sister, Mildred Welp; and seven brothers, Arthur, Edgar, Alvin, Carl, Gilbert, Elmer and Alfred Schwartz.

She is survived by two daughters, Roseann (Ron) Scott and Janet (Parvin) Smith, both of Dale, Ind.; three sons, Eugene (Mary Jane) Rademacher of Holland, Ind., Terry (Debbi) Rademacher of Memphis, Ind., and Joe (Anita) Rademacher of Montgomery, Ind.; two sisters, Flora (Bob) Phillipy of Jasper, Ind. and Ardella Meyer of Mayfield, Kentucky; by (11) grandchildren, (16) great grandchildren and (7) great-great grandchildren.

 Funeral services for Helen Rademacher will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Monday, April 16, 2018, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland with burial to follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery.  Reverend David Darling will officiate at the service.

 Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Sunday, April 15^th; and also at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church or St. John’s U.C.C. Cemetery Fund.
