Dorothy M. Meyer, age 89 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on August 20, 2019 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
Dorothy was born in Jasper, Indiana on June 27, 1930 to Theodore and Hilda (Lehnen) Dudine. She married James H. Meyer on June 13, 1953 in St Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1991.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Blessed Sodality, and the Habig Senior Center.
She was a 1948 Jasper High School graduate.
She worked at the Jasper Memorial Hospital in registration for 35 years.
She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Indiana Pacers, and IU Basketball. She enjoyed playing cards, yardwork, traveling, and visiting casinos.
Surviving are two daughters; Patti (Luke) Stinnett, Bristol, VA, Jenny (Gary) Wakeland, Newburgh, IN, one son Michael (Cindi) Meyer, Jasper, IN, and one brother Kenneth Dudine, Jasper, IN, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are, one daughter, Karen Woolsey, two brothers, Bob and Charles Dudine, and one sister, Mary Ann Titzer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy M. Meyer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Friday, August 23, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church.
