Darlene "Dolly" M. Gish, age 86 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 1:05 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Brookside Village Senior Living in Jasper, Indiana.
Dolly was born in Saint Henry , Indiana on December 28, 1933 to Andrew and Clara (Schwinghammer) Merkley. She married Linus H. Gish on August 23, 1958. He preceded her in death on her birthday on December 28, 1977.
Dolly was a 1951 Jasper High School graduate.
She worked as a paralegal for many law firms.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Victory Extension Homemakers Club, the Jasper VFW Auxiliary Post #673 and former president of the St. Anthony American Legion Auxiliary Post #493.
Dolly had a great memory. Anytime her sisters needed anything, they would call Dolly. She could remember birthdays, phone numbers, and important dates.
She enjoyed bingo to the fullest.
Surviving are three sisters; Imogene Patterson, Jasper, IN, Shirley Hurst, Jasper, IN, Mary Joyce (Thomas) Fischer, Jasper, IN and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are three brothers; Herrell, Charles and Andrew H. Merkley JR and one sister, Ada Mae Schmitt.

Funeral services for Darlene "Dolly" M. Gish will be held at a later date with a burial in St. Anthony cemetery.
