Allen Keith Swayze, 71, of Loogootee

He was born April 24, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Richard O. and Betty (Rodocker) Swayze. 

Allen married Terry Jones on May 29, 1981 and she survives. 

Allen graduated from L & M High School in 1968 in Lyons, Indiana. He joined the United States Air Force and served in Korea. He was a member of the Loogootee American Legion - Post 120 and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. 

He enjoyed bowling and golfing. He liked to watch the St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and Indiana University basketball. Allen worked at NSWC Crane for 27 years as an accountant. 

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Betty Swayze. 

He is survived by his wife, Terry Swayze of Loogootee; children, Kristopher (Kristy) Swayze of Atlanta, Georgia, Megan (Tim) Miller of Loogootee and Travis Swayze (fiancée, Sammy McBride) of Evansville; grandchildren, Annabeth and Merritt Swayze and Clayton and Chase Miller. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
