YOUR COMMUNITY: Patoka Lake Seeking Volunteers, Event Planned For Those Interested

PATOKA LAKE -- Have you considered volunteering somewhere? Patoka Lake is looking for volunteers with diverse backgrounds to help with various opportunities around the property. Some annuals needs are photographers, special event assistants, carpenters, painters, and campground hosts, just to name a few. If you have a little extra time on your hands or are looking for a way to give back, we would like to meet you. Come to the Nature Center on Saturday, September 28 from 10:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. to learn more about our volunteer program and what opportunities we might have for you. We will be accepting applications for new volunteers.  We look forward to meeting you on National Public Lands Day!

The entrance fee for Newton Stewart State Recreation Area, Patoka Reservoir, located north of

Wickliffe Indiana, Highway 164 will be waived for all who plan to apply as volunteers.  For
