YOU CAN HELP! School Supply Drive Going on Through Dubois County Until August 10th

DUBOIS COUNTY -- Tri-Cap is collecting school supplies for needy kids in our area.

They need items like washable markers and paint, crayons, colored pencils, glue, folders, notebooks and more (you can see the full list below).

There are three drop-off locations in Jasper at The Crossing near Hardee’s, Germantown across from Taco Bell, and the Tri-Cap main office. 

They are also collecting at the Huntingburg location which is on the corner of 4th St and 231. The Ferdinand office is located on the highway as you go through town across from The Wollenmann House.

 The campaign goes until August 10 and they will still be collecting the following week. Supplies will be distributed to Tri-Cap Head Start program. 

Here is the list of what is being requested: 
  • Washable Markers
  • Washable paint
  • Finger paint
  • Crayons
  • Colored pencils
  • Pencils
  • Helium tanks (or do you think we have enough as is?)
  • Glue – sticks and liquid
  • Folders
  • Spiral notebooks
  • Dry erase markers
  • Batteries of various sizes (???)
  • Paper towels
  • Kleenex
  • Arts and crafts “stuff” – googly eyes, pipe cleaners, glitter, yarn, popsicle sticks, etc
  • Pull ups ??? (3T – 5T)
  • Construction paper
  • School boxes
  • Kids underwear (preschool size – for girls and boys)
  • Kid safe scissors – blunt end
  • Stickers – variety of kinds, types
  • Treasure box items – little toys/trinkets
  • Shoe box size clear totes w/ lids
  • Zip lock baggies – all sizes
