Worker Accused of Stealing Drill From Construction Site in Ferdinand

FERDINAND -- A temporary worker has been accused of stealing from a local construction site.

Ferdinand Police were contacted after Darrel Harris Jr. allegedly stole a drill from the new Scenic Hills Care Center construction site.  The drill belonged to Alstadt Pluming.

Police found Harris and the drill in his possession.

The drill itself is valued at around $400.  They also recovered two batteries valued at $80.

Harris is charged with theft with prior convictions; a level 6 felony.

He was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
