Southwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph this afternoon, with gusts over 40 mph during the late afternoon and evening. Scattered showers could produce localized 50 mph gusts. The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 5 PM EDT /4 PM CDT/ this afternoon to 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ Thursday.

Gusts in excess of 40 mph...locally 50 mph. * IMPACTS...Loose objects may be blown around. Small tree limbs and branches may be damaged.
