WEATHER ALERT: Wind Gusts Up to 50 MPH, Severe Weather Expected This Afternoon into Tonight

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ this evening to 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ Friday. 

 * TIMING...Thursday evening and into Friday morning. 

 * WINDS...Wind gusts of 40-50 mph are possible


 * IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. 

 PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... 

 A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of over 40 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.


Dubois County is under a SLIGHT RISK for severe weather this afternoon into the evening.

We are right on the edge of the ENHANCED RISK (our southernmost counties are under that ENHANCED RISK.  Since we are right on the line, I want everyone to go through the day as if we are under that ENHANCED RISK.
