WEATHER ALERT: We Could See Severe Thunderstorms Thursday

From Local Sources

STATE WIDE--Severe weather may redevelop this afternoon. The storms that moved through this morning affected mostly the norther two thirds of the state. National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Ryan said the southern half on Indiana could get strong storms this afternoon.

"There's likely to be some redevelopment of thunderstorms this afternoon. We're expecting that to be south of Interstate 70," he said.

He said this afternoon's storm threats would be very similar.

"Damaging winds would be the primary threat, but also would be the potential for large hail, maybe a tornado or two. And, certainly heavy rain and dangerous lightning," said Ryan.

Isolated storms are possible Friday.
