WEATHER ALERT: Dangerous Storms Expected to Blow Through the Area Tuesday Afternoon

#NEW -- The Storm Prediction Center of the NWS has placed a portion of our area back into the ENHANCED RISK for severe weather today. We are still looking at an afternoon - early evening event. Stay tuned. We are watching this closely.

AREA WIDE -- Severe weather will be possible this afternoon across the area.

The entire area is currently under a SLIGHT RISK of severe weather this afternoon into this evening.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Jason Puma says storms will start kicking up a little after Noon-eastern and will be moving through until about 8-o-clock-eastern this evening. He says the main threats will be damaging winds, hail, and lightning. He also would not rule out an isolated tornado.
