Watch For Runners Friday Near Patoka Lake

PATOKA LAKE -- You may run into delays Friday night in the area of the Newton Steward State Recreation Area at Patoka Lake.

Drivers are being asked to share the road with those participating in the Patoka Lake Full Moon 5K.

You can expect those delays from 9:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Friday.

During those times, traffic will be halted for brief moments as participants race through the property.

Areas directly impacted will be the beach and Modern Campground Road.

The lower beach parking lot will close today for the 5K.

Those wanting to watch the event should be at the Patoka Lake beach by 9:15 p.m. for the 9:30 start.
