USDA Issues National Recall of Over 6 Million Pounds of Ground Beef

NATIONWIDE -- The USDA is recalling more than 6 million pounds of ground beef because of possible salmonella contamination. 

The beef was packaged between July 26 and Sept. 7.

It was sold nationwide under the brand names Walmart, Cedar River Farms Natural Beef, Showcase, and JBS Generic. 

The packing bears the USDA inspection mark EST 267. 

The USDA says 57 people in 16 states have gotten sick since August.
