U.S. 231 Water Infrastructure Project Begins Monday, City Sets Up Web Page With Details

JASPER -- The city of Jasper begins its water infrastructure project on U.S. 231 Monday and city officials have set up a web link to get more information about the process.

The project will consist of water and service line installation, pressure testing and Chlorination of water lines, and road repairs.

Phase one, which begins today, will run from the intersection of Bartley Street and U.S. 231 east to the intersection of 231 and Clay Street.

The roadway will be down to 2 lanes while the work is being done.

Next year, INDOT will start its own repair project.  That will include milling and resurfacing portions of U.S. 231.
