Time is Running Out to Get Ballot For Absentee Voting, Early Voting Continues

AREA WIDE -- Voting absentee? Time is running out for you to get your ballot.

To vote absentee, you need to request a ballot from your county clerk's office by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 30.

To do that, you have to fill out an application and explain why can't vote on the day of the primary.

Download the application at the Indiana Secretary of State's website, www.in.gov/sos.

Remember, early voting is taking place here in Dubois County.Voters can go to the county annex across from the courthouse to vote this year.

Remember, this is for the Primary Election.

From now until May 7, any eligible voter can cast an absentee ballot in-person at their county clerk’s office or request an absentee ballot by mail.

In Dubois County, voters will now vote on the first floor of the county Annex on the courthouse square.  "Easier access, we felt, for everyone involved," explains Dubois County Clerk Bridgette Jarboe.

"We have a designated parking space.  We still have a [handicap-accessible] room and it's much easier to get in here," Jarboe tells WITZ Radio News.
