Texas Woman Charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident in Jasper
Jasper - On Monday evening, a collision between a truck and a moped led to a single charge for a Texas woman.
At 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, Jasper Police responded to the site of a vehicle collision in the parking lot of Hibbett Sports. Officers learned that a truck had struck a moped before leaving the scene.
Police later located the truck, and identified the driver as Yvette Sotelo, 24, of Eagle Pass, Texas. Sotelo was charged with a single count of Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
The driver of the moped was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The moped was considered a total loss.
