Suspect Causing School Lockdown in Martin County Police Custody

Local Sources - The suspect who triggered a "shelter in place" order for Southwest Dubois County Schools this morning has been taken into custody in Martin County.

Per a Facebook post on the Dubois County Sheriff's Office, the fleeing suspect that triggered and "shelter in place" order for SW Dubois Schools today is in police custody in Martin County. 

No additional information has been shared by police at this time.


Huntingburg Police believed the suspect to have an active warrant out of Warrick County, Detective Wade Pierce told WITZ News Director Corbin Lingenfelter. Police did not release any identifying characteristics about the suspect to the public.
