Southeast Superintendent Announces He'll Retire After Next School Year

DUBOIS CO. -- Rick Allen, the superintendent of Southeast Dubois County Schools has announced he’ll retire at the end of the next school year.

Allen’s retirement was approved by the school board this week.

The superintendent says he wanted to give the board a year notice to allow them time to search for his successor.

Allen has worked for the Southeast Dubois School Corporation for the past 36 years.

He became superintendent during the 2011 – 2012 school year replacing Bob Johnson when HE retired.
